I have successfully secured grants from public and private sources. My National Endowment for the Humanities Enduring Questions Grant (2011-2013) supported a course and campus programming initiative on the theme "What Sustains Liberty?" This grant supported student activities which included a showing of Richard III in NYC. Other grants from private foundations have supported student reading groups, research, and student presentations at the New England, Northeastern, and Southern Political Science Association Conferences in 2013-2015.
As a faculty member and in my capacity as Deputy Chair of Political Science and Law, I have devoted significant time at Montclair State to student advising and various curricular initiatives. My students have recently gone on to graduate and professional schools at Rutgers, George Mason, Notre Dame, and the University of Chicago.
